About // Archduke Interactive
Who we are
We're a group of OPERATOR players who build mods for the game, and since 6 November 2026 we've been doing it under the name Archduke Interactive.
01 // The name
Operator Dev Group is now Archduke Interactive
Until November we went by Operator Dev Group, and most of you knew us as ODG. OPERATOR's modding policy took effect on 6 November and asks that a mod or a group doesn't start its name with the game's name or suggest it's part of the studio, so we changed ours to follow it.
The team hasn't changed, and the mods and the launcher carry on as they were. If you already have the pack installed, the launcher picks up the new name on its next update and everything you've got keeps working.
The picture on the front page is our squad: NOMAD, THEUNKNOWN, SHARKBAIT, ARCHDUKE, PETRAKO, BAPEASAURAS and ROGUE_RANDY.
02 // What we promise
Free for everyone, on the same day
Every mod and every update in the pack is free, and it reaches every player at the same time. Nobody pays for any part of it, and nobody gets an update sooner because they support us.
Our Patreon is there for anyone who wants to say thanks, and the money goes on the server and on the hours that go into each release. Supporters get exactly the same pack as everybody else.
We're unofficial. Vector Interactive makes OPERATOR, and they don't make or endorse anything we build. If the game itself breaks, that one's on them, and if something we made breaks, tell us and we'll fix it.
03 // Before you install
What you should know
It lives in the game folder
Nearly all of the pack goes into the game's Mods folder, and a few of the game's own clothing files are replaced as well. Your saves are never touched, and to go back to the stock game you press UNINSTALL under SETTINGS in the launcher and then let Steam verify the game files.
Same version for co-op
Everyone in a lobby needs the same pack version, and the launcher shows yours at the top of its window. Let it finish updating before you host.
The first download is a big one
A first install pulls the whole pack along with the map data, several gigabytes in all, and after that an update only fetches what changed.
Updates look after themselves
The launcher checks for an update every time it starts, before OPERATOR opens, and it restarts itself whenever there's a new launcher. It asks before it deletes anything an older version left behind.
When it breaks, send a report
Sign in with Steam once on the launcher's ACCOUNT page, then open REPORT and press SEND REPORT. It sends the logs we need and gives you a ticket number back.
Unofficial
Archduke Interactive has no connection to Vector Interactive or to anyone who publishes OPERATOR, and every trademark on this site belongs to its owner.
04 // How it started
Thirty-three hours
The first public pack went out on 11 September 2026 with seventeen mods in it. A hundred and four developer builds had come before it, and Archduke stayed awake for thirty-three hours straight on release day, writing over a thousand lines of code to get the last of it working before it went out free.
The pack has grown to 36 mods since then, with a campaign on top, and it still goes out the same way, to every player on the same day.
05 // How it reaches you
You don't need to know what a mod loader is. The launcher checks your game folder and installs whatever's missing, and then it pulls the current pack and starts the game for you. On Linux and the Steam Deck it does the same job, and there's a small installer for the terminal as well.
